My Space is a free online social network open to anybody with a valid email address. Each user gets a homepage. This page contains information about the user including name, hometown, and schools attended. An account also allows users to upload their favorite pictures, create a personal blog, and add comments to friend's pages. People are allowed to search for their friends, their friend's friends, by name, interest, email address, and almost anything else included on that person's profile. MySpace can be used by friends who want to talk online, people looking for relationships, families who want to create a network, buisness people and co-workers, classmates, or anybody looking for a social network. How mypace is created makes it very easy to send and recive messages to other users. People with similar intrests can also create groups and share them with one another. Recently MySpace has been populated with bands, performers, and clothing brands trying to promote their product. In addition to social networking, MySpace is now starting to add "social advertising" to it's resume.
